Whether you are looking to explore vocational ministry as a calling or you just want to take a season out of your normal rhythm to gain ministry experience, our residential internship program can give you just what you are looking for.

Internship participants have the opportunity to pick from one of several focus tracks for ministry (see below). You will live together in YWAM Detroit’s ministry housing and explore what it means to live on mission while impacting the communities of Detroit.

Interns have the opportunity to:

  • Integrate directly into the daily rhythms of YWAM Detroit

  • Grow in skills, leadership and communication

  • Gain experience in ministry and missions

  • Participate in directed studies and discipleship with staff

  • June Cohort

    • 3 month - June - August, 2025

    • 6 month - June - December, 2025

    • 1 year - June 2024 to June 2026

    September Cohort

    • 3 month - September - December, 2025

  • Interns can choose between a 40 hour a week (full time) or 20 hour a week (part time) commitment level for the duration of the internship.

    Our heart is to allow as many as possible the ability to participate! Part time interns will still have the time work at a part time capacity.

  • The cost for the internship is $450 USD per month, which covers housing.

    Interns are responsible to provide their own meals and transportation.
